Will I be able to access library resources after graduation?

Answer

The Darden Library and UVA Library sign license agreements restricting database access to current students, faculty, and staff.  Graduating students usually lose access to databases in mid or late July.

UVA has a few subscriptions that allow for use by walk in users.  These include databases with business information such as Business Source Complete; Factiva; Mergent Intellect (formerly Hoovers Online); Mergent Online; and Nexis Uni (formerly Lexis Nexis).

UVA Alumni have access to a number of databases through the Alumni Association.  They are:  Academic Search Alumni Edition; Business Source Alumni Edition; Business Book Summaries; Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature; Medline; and Health Library.  There is a link where alumni can search these databases after logging in with their Hoosonline username and password at https://alumni.virginia.edu/learn/online-resources/
